Attention au mot « dérapage » Pour un journal, pour un membre du gouvernement C'est quoi un dérapage ? Pour moi c’est de dire qu'on en a marre du « padamalgame » de la vie politique et sociale en France, mais aussi en Europe.

Even Russia has stopped flights to Egypt including Cairo;
UK, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands amongst others who have curtailed flight ops in Egypt, with Sharm El Sheikh & Cairo.

This has serious repercussions on both Egypt & more tellingly on Russia.

“On Thursday, UK Prime Minister David Cameron announced that it was “more likely than not” that a bomb caused the crash.”  If I were in the shoes of an accident investigator or aviation head of security, I’d like to know based on what findings? However, publically Cameron did not share his stated reasons with Putin.  Something clearly troubled the high echelons of the UK intelligence community. This suggests that some factors are  intel driven, either pre-accident or post Sinai incident, or both with sources being closely guarded to protect the systems or sources.

The clue is in the sudden reaction of the UK authorities in taking unprecedented steps to stop flights altogether, an event rare as a hen’s teeth, particularly in this commercially driven society of ours.  There are a number of elements related to the Sinai crash that are still disjointed, but even the Russian authorities are keeping mum for the time being.
This kind decision is never done lightly by one country due to the serious diplomatic & economic fall-out.  As this is being written, a number of European countries have taken identical measures with respect to flights & travel to Egypt.  I don’t think that EU political authorities are trying to capitalize on this devastating tragedy for Russia, although the European mainstream media clearly is: some are really scrapping the barrel of depravity in their portrayal of the Sinai crash.

The Daily Mail mentioned that GCHQ intercepted 'chatter' just before as well as after the crash. Assuming that intel received was mostly post-accident, if GCHQ  re-examined its intel trawls to recheck 'chatter', then this might account for the time delay between the Sinai crash and the announcements of flights cancellations several days after the initial crash. Maybe some low level 'chatter' did came to light prior the Sinai crash about an ISIS affiliated or type of terrorist group in Egypt.  Likewise, maybe additional 'chatter' or intercepts showed they are trying to plan or try to carry out some action on the back of the Sinai crash. Or, through subsequent intel harvesting, it became apparent that a significant terrorist risk has been revealed, with connections to Cairo airport as well as Sharm el Sheikh.

Another possible line of thought is that the intel is in fact  mostly pre-accident information, already known by the UK and or the ‘five eyes’group.  It is quite plausible that the disclosure of such information was not picked up and did not reach the relevant political levels until some days later and as such the UK needed to do some backtracking to cover this.  Another idea centers on the possibility that information on a potential terrorist event in the region was ‘harvested’ prior to the crash but not shared in the worldwide intel community, either in time or at all to take any action.  Maybe it was an instance of some vague information between known suspects which could not be confirmed or effectively acted upon.  As Snowden clearly pointed out, surveillance done through intensive mass electronic eavesdropping, aka "data-mining"  does not lend itself to be actually being in a good position in preventing acts of terrorism.

A more horrifying interpretation is that intel was known but deliberately withheld from the Russians for political gains.  Given the political prism in which the West views Russia, this idea cannot be simply dismissed out of hand, mostly because it is apparent some UK intel was passed to the US & then parts to the French, German, Irish & Dutch intelligence community.  The Russian authorities seem not be party to UK intelligence and so  must have even more grave doubts about the West, especially in light of the urgent UK response that triggered the rash of flight cancellations, travel advisory warnings & rescue flights in Europe.

It is plausible to consider that the’ terrorist’ cat is definitely out of the bag and Egypt once more is paying the price for being seen to have a shoddy aviation security.

A special mention with regards to this place since several Western media outlets have produced articles on a "dirty bomb" being developed by the DNR, using nuclear waste materials from this site.

Back in June, the main issue was that " Environmentalists are concerned about the explosion at the state factory of chemical products in Donetsk where radioactive waste is stored."  This story some how now has turned into a more sinister event by the likes of the "exclusive scoop" of a dirty bomb ran by The Times newspaper in late July 2015.
A special mention with regards to this, since The Times 'scoop' several Western media outlets have also produced similar articles on a "dirty bomb" being developed by the DNR. These simpled-minded & alarmist articles seem to be based on a lot of conjecture & hearsay, yet provide very little information on the numerous artillery & missiles strikes on the State Factory of Chemical Products complex. This might actually distort  their version of events.

Notice the sparing details regarding the "dirty bomb",  e;g; the use of words such as "insider", "are contemplating", "possibly, to supply other international terrorist organizations".  Does this reminder you of other events? Where have we seen this kind of language before? It should ring alarm bells, such as  the WMD case in Iraq or even the "gas attacks" in Syria.  Articles couched in vagueness but nevertheless "threatening".  Provoking a nasty reaction, pre emptive action and laying down some pathetic excuses for a potential wider conflict is the playbook of the Washington administration & NATO leadership.

Addendum 18 June: There is a twist to the series of shelling & missile strikes, in the apparent use of a thermobaric weapon to  try to wipe the State Factory of Chemical Products, off the map.  It is likely that radiation levels in Donetsk could increase, since according to an expert, there is a nuclear waste storage site in the vicinity. The context of this is truly disturbing if it does happen, as it seems to show the plans of Kiev, to turn parts of Donbass into a ecological wasteland & therefore render it uninhabitable.   http://www.ostro.org/general/society/news/473114/

If I was in his place, I'd be very very worried at the 'antics' of Kiev and the potential for an environmental & human catastrophe.  Yet this doesn't get a mention in the 'Times' & Newsweek articles since they are utterly one-sided.   If I were him, I'd seek out experts in the nuclear waste field to go on site & report back their findings on the situation & possible consequences of any further attacks on the site. Of course, I'd also make detailled plans for the evacuation of those in the vicinity.

Taking information from the Newsweek article, which gives some details on the nuclear waste stored in the facilities: " A 2002 inspection by Ukraine's State Nuclear Regulation Committee found that the level of radiation in the bunker was extremely high, at 725.2 billion Becquerel."

Unsurprisingly the Newsweek article fails to mention the repeated artillery & missile strikes  over a whole year, causing massive explosions on the industrial complex site that houses the underground waste bunker.  ( ed: I wonder why??? sarc off)

Readers are reminded that in several instances, the use of either a Tochka (Scarab) missile was reported. How far we have gone as society from the days when the Serbs got bombed by NATO using depleted uranium ordnance for simply lobing mortar or artillery rounds into Sarajevo. It seems that the Western media & political elites are more than content with the frequent use of ballastic missiles in an European countries, since they are unwilling to look further than their noses in the Donbass. Why? Maybe because it is handy for the pressitude of the West to not see Russian speakers in Donbass as friends, but rather as foes.

Honteux et un déshonneur absolu par rapport à 20 ans en Bosnie, quand il y avait la couverture médiatique mur-à-mur du siège de Sarajevo.

The people of Donbass, under a post- Maidan Ukrainian siege & regular shelling, see a very minute of help from the EU or the Red Cross.  Due to the West’s media blockade, you won’t hear their stories at all, because they are simply labeled as terrorists.  Shameful & an absolute disgrace compared to 20 years in Bosnia, when it was wall-to-wall coverage of the Sarajevo siege.

As Vera Graziadie succinctly outlined,  the conflict in her blog last year, the people of Donbass are regarded as sub-humans in the West’s eyes.

Un an après le crash Boeing de Malaysian Airlines dans l’Est de l’Ukraine, on ne sait toujours pas ce qui a provoqué cette catastrophe aérienne. La guerre civile qui avait lieu dans la zone a empêché les experts internationaux de conduire une enquête complète et minutieuse dans les heures qui ont suivi la tragédie. Les débris auraient dû être rassemblés et scrupuleusement répertoriés pour identifier tous les dégâts, mais cette procédure standard n'a jamais pu être complètement mise en œuvre. Sur la base des images des débris récoltés, des informations des enregistreurs de vol ou des boîtes noires et le récit des témoins oculaires, deux thèses s’affrontent : l’avion aurait été abattu par un missile antiaérien tiré depuis des territoires contrôles par les rebelles de la région de Donetsk ou par un avion de chasse de l’armée de l’air ukrainienne.
